When your way forward
has to be found, not followed.

The Territory

You can see something new, next, or different taking shape in your work and in the world. The prospect is so juicy you can taste the possibility.

Knowing where to start, what to prioritize as learning emerges, and how to proceed in context is where things get sporty. You know there's no shortage of options, ideas, or expectations along the way, so how you move matters.

Every interaction, every decision, every action you take is energy that shapes your outcomes and impact. When the vision is this ambitious, you need to feel confident that the energy, time, and money you're allocating are moving you toward the future you actually want.

Finding your way means identifying and moving through small experiments that are safe enough to try, following what shows promise, and carrying momentum as you go.

What Clients Say:

“Working with Katrina has given us space and opportunities to critically assess the work we do, our relationships with communities, and our own mental models. It has helped us to reflect on emerging dynamics occurring within the complex and interconnected systems of our work, allowing us to move new and innovative ideas into action.”

-Yara Younis, Refugee Livelihood Lab Manager, SFU RADIUS Social Innovation Hub

"Working with Katrina brought expansive ideation, joy, ease, and bigger-picture thinking to our work, and helped us to see possibility and ‘generative constraint’ opportunities in every obstacle and tension on our path. Embracing a curiosity mindset had a direct impact on the launch of our first cohort of amazingly diverse and talented entrepreneurs, as well as the market traction we gained in raising our first fund."

- Cordell Jacks, CEO & General Partner, Regenerative Capital Group

This will be the Digital Story

Hi, I’m Katrina!

For over two decades I've worked with leaders and organizations across nonprofits, community foundations, health charities, post-secondaries, arts and culture organizations, BCorps, start-ups, and family businesses. I'm often invited in when something important is emerging — when the challenge ahead is ambitious, values-led, and genuinely unprecedented for them.

These challenges can feel exciting, important, messy, uncertain, and risky all at the same time. I love helping people approach theirs with curiosity, creativity, a sense of agency, and even joy. The work is juicy. Getting there is sporty.

I call it going barefoot.

I’m Here When You’re Ready

Adaptive and Emergent Leadership Support

One to one work for when you're navigating something juicy and ready to develop your capacity to orient, learn, and move forward when the path isn't clear. Could be pure coaching or blended with co-creative thought-partnership.

Developmental Evaluation

For organizations doing complex, high-potential work that needs a different kind of rigour. Inquiry-based, iterative, and designed to embed support for small-scale, low-risk experimentation and learning in real time.

Bespoke Team and Group Priorities

Bringing the barefoot approach to more than one person in the room — developing shared capacity to navigate complexity, name uncertainty, and move forward together when the work isn't served by the modality boundary.
